Annette Gardner nee Fitzgearld , School Cottage, Barnashrone, Mountmellick, Co. Laois.Peacefully at the Midlands Region Hospital Tullamore surrounded by her family after a short illness.Predeceased by her son Kenneth. Annette will be forever loved by her husband Michael, children Barbara, Michael and Debbie. Also by her grandchildren, partners and her extended family.

Bridie Maher (née Maher)
New Road, Portlaoise, Laois

Birmingham, UK and formerly New Road, Portlaoise. Peacefully at her home on February 25th, aged 94, in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John and her daughter Mary. Also predeceased by her brother Johnny and sisters Mary and Nan. Bridie will remain forever in the hearts of her daughters Anne, Breda, Josephine and Margaret, sons-in-law Conor, Martin and Paul, grandchildren Joe, John, Patrick, Ciaran, and Mairead, sisters Eily, Bernie and Josie, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reception into Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Yardley Wood, on Wednesday, 22nd March, at 6.45pm for Mass. Aisling Nolan McDonald(née Nolan)
Graiguecullen, Carlow / Graiguecullen, Laois

The death has taken place of Aisling Nolan McDonald, Graiguealug, Fighting Cocks and late of Leighlin Rd., Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed peacefully, after a short illness, bravely borne, on March 12th, 2023, surrounded by her heartbroken family, in the loving and compassionate care of the nurses, doctor and staff of St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved mother of Jack, Des and Kate, much loved daughter of Margaret and the late Joe (Josser), cherished sister of Marcella, Dessie and Gillian.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children and their father John, mother, brother, sisters, Jack’s partner Laura, mother-in-law Breda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, her many colleagues in St. Fiacc’s National School and her many friends.

Reposing at her former home, “Mount Close”, Leighlin Road, Graiguecullen (Eircode R93 C9X3) on Tuesday, March 14th, and Wednesday, March 15th, from 1pm both days, concluding with prayers at 8.30pm both evenings. Removal on Thursday, March 16th, at 11am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Funeral afterwards, walking from St Clare’s Church, to St Fiacc’s National School, before driving to Newlands Cross Crematorium, arriving for Cremation Service at 3pm.

Thomas Dooley
Clonaslee, Laois / Mountrath, Laois

Thomas Dooley, 16 Hillview, Clonaslee, Co. Laois and formerly of Castletown and Mountrath Co. Laois. Died on the 13th of March 2023, peacefully, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Mary, son William, brothers Liam & Pat and sisters Nancy & Mai. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Teresa, son-in-law Seamus, grandchildren Hazel, Gavin & Dylan, brother Joe, sisters-in-law Sal, brother-in-law Jim, nieces Colette and Patricia, nephew Alan, grand niece & nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Thomas’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

Mary McConn (née Hanley)
Portarlington, Laois / Rathangan, Kildare / Roscommon

Late of Cappanargid, Rathangan County Kildare and Ballybride Roscommon Peacefully surrounded by her loving family while in the wonderful care of the staff of Naas Hospital and previously in the devoted care of the staff of Beechpark Nursing Home Kildare. Beloved wife of the late James. Sadly missed by her loving children James, Brian, Cora, Daniel, Eamon and Niall, their partners and daughter-in-law Tanya, brothers Sonny and Michael, sister Theresa, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her son Eamon and daughter-in-law Tanya’s residence Pullagh, Richardstown, Kildangan County Kildare (W34 KF99) on Tuesday evening from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10:15am arriving St John’s Church, Killenard, Portarlington (eircode R32 VW77) for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards (travelling via Portarlington and Cappanargid, Rathangan arriving Allen Cemetery, County Kildare (eircode W91 D838) at 2pm.
