James died, unexpectedly, at The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by his brothers Kieran and John. Deeply regretted by his brother Mike, sisters Judy and Catherine, brothers in law Tom (Somers) and Con (Sheehan), sisters in law Mary (Healy) and Mary (Hennessey), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Sue Ryder, Ballyroan, Laois

Sue Ryder Ballyroan and late of Kilminchy Nursing Home. Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise after a short illness. Deeply regretted by his beloved wife Joan (nee Carrick), his father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends, staff and neighbours in Sue Ryder Ballyroan, and Kilminchy.

Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church Ballyroan for Requiem Mass at 9.30am.on Sunday. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks’ Cemetery.

Esther Fitzpatrick (née Kilroe)
Kilnahown, Portarlington, Offaly / Portarlington, Laois

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Catherine, brothers Peter, Paddy, Jimmy and Christy (died 16/3/2023), sisters Kathleen (Diviney) and Susan (Corcoran). Deeply regretted by her loving husband Joe, family Mary, Niall and Catriona, sons-in-law Larry Bergin and Tom Morrin, grandchildren Joe, Ashleigh and Petra, sisters Lily (Maloney) , Rosie (Flynn) , Margaret (McCann) , Ann (Daly) and Mary (Gorman) , brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Thursday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 11am (travelling via her residence in Kilnahown) arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Dolores (Lolo) O’Reilly (née Scully)
Kildalkey, Meath / Mountmellick, Laois

The death has occurred of Dolores (Lolo) O’Reilly (née Scully) of Kildalkey, Co. Meath and formerly of Mountmellick, Co Laois, peacefully at home with her heartbroken daughter Deirdre by her side. Dolores is now happily reunited with her beloved husband Pat, her cherished son Anthony, her sister Mercedes and her parents Joe and Daisie. Dolores will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving daughter Deirdre, sister Clare, nieces & nephews, cousins, extended family and her many dear friends and kind neighbours.

Dolores will repose at her home in Kildalkey on Thursday 23rd March from 3pm to 7pm. House private at all other times. Removal from her home to St Dympna’s Church, Kildalkey on Friday morning 24th March for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. John Moylan
Barnhill, Durrow, Laois

Peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny. Husband of the late Shiela. Deeply regretted by his loving children Marie,Michael, Patrick, Ann, Shiela, John and Martin, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Phelan’s funeral home Durrow from 3.00pm on Tuesday afternoon with Rosary at 7.00pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow on Wednesday morning for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Pauline Hughes (née O’Connor)
Birr, Offaly / Portarlington, Laois

Late of Station Road, Portarlington, County Laois and Emo, County Laois. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Predeceased by her husband Mick, grandsons Stephen McHugh and baby Sean Murray. Deeply regretted by her loving family Maureen (McHugh) Dundrum, County Tipperary, Brenda (Murray) Birr, County Offaly and Michael, Lisnagry, County Limerick, sister Mae (Lewis), sons-in-law Bernard and Jim, daughter-in-law Sharon, grandchildren Marie, Liam, Seamus, Áine Úna, Adam, Daniel and Callum, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 5:30pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 11:20am arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo County Laois (eircode R32 RY16) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery Emo.
