Joe Lawler, 68 St Fiacc’s Tce, Graiguecullen, Carlow, on the 24th March 2023, aged 88 years, peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, who died on 13th January 2022. Deeply regretted by his loving sons Jimmy, Joseph, Dan, Ger, Paul, Dermot, daughters Anna, Mairead, Patricia, Carina and young Anna. Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, brother Dan, sister Ann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother in law, sister in law, sons in law, daughters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing in Lacey’s Funeral Home, John St., Carlow (R93 H684), on Saturday, 25th March, from 4pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal on Sunday 26th at 12.30pm to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, to arrive for requiem Mass at 1pm.
Joe will be laid to rest immediately afterwards Beside his Loving wife Margaret, in Sleaty new cemetery.

Stanislaus (Stannie) Brennan
Clarey House, Nurney, Kildare / Ballylinan, Laois
Formerly of Clonpierce, Ballylinan, Co. Laois. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the care of the nurses and staff of Naas General Hospital. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Peggy, siblings Oliver, Anna-May (HcHugh) and Eileen (Brennan), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy on Saturday (March 25th) from 4pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday afternoon at 3pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Nurney Burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Ballylinan.
Maura Phelan (née Guilfoyle)
Killeaney, Kilbricken, Shanahoe, Laois
Maura Phelan, Killeaney, Kilbricken, Shanahoe, Co Laois. Died peacefully, at Portlaoise Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Josephine. Deeply regretted by her loving and heartbroken husband James, daughter Lisa and husband Tony, son James and wife Helen, her adoring grandchildren Nicole, Cayden, Connie and James, sisters Irene and Audrey, brother Neil, sisters in law Marian and Josephine, brothers in law Jim and Brendan, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and lifelong friends.
Reposing at her residence on Friday 24th from 4pm with prayers at 8pm.
Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Shanahoe, for Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Shanahoe.

PHILLIPS (née Dunne) Therese (Tess) Rosconnell Walk, Newbridge & late of Clonaslee, Laois – 22nd March 2023 (peacefully) at home. Sadly missed by her loving husband Blaise, daughters Donna and Trish, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

James died, unexpectedly, at The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by his brothers Kieran and John. Deeply regretted by his brother Mike, sisters Judy and Catherine, brothers in law Tom (Somers) and Con (Sheehan), sisters in law Mary (Healy) and Mary (Hennessey), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence in Castlemarket, from 12 noon on Saturday with Rosary at 9pm.Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm in The Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private on Sunday morning, please.

Martin Tas. The Glebe, Coolrain, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died 15th March 2023, in the Netherlands, beloved son of William and Tonnie Tas, brother to Jackie (Mortimer). Sadly missed by his loving daughters Louie and Dave, brother-in-law Declan Mortimer, uncle of Aisling and Tamara, granduncle of Saoirse, relatives and friends.
Removal on Saturday morning (25th March) to St. Fergal’s Cemetery for Committal Service at 12 noon.

Sue Ryder Ballyroan and late of Kilminchy Nursing Home. Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise after a short illness. Deeply regretted by his beloved wife Joan (nee Carrick), his father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends, staff and neighbours in Sue Ryder Ballyroan, and Kilminchy.
Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church Ballyroan for Requiem Mass at 9.30am.on Sunday. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks’ Cemetery.
