Colliers Lane, Portlaoise, Laois / Portarlington, Laois

Matthew Brophy Colliers Lane, Portlaoise and formerly of Lough, Portarlington. Died unexpectedly at Portlaoise General Hospital surrounded by his family. Sadly missed by his wife Pauline, his children Mark, Yvonne and Attracta, daughter-in-law Sinead and son-in-law Joe, his six grandchildren Robbie, Leah, Arabella, Jessica, Paige and Brody, his brothers Sean and Seamus and his sisters Maura, Sadie, Christine and the late Elizabeth Duffy, sisters and brothers in law, nieces & nephews, extended family and friends and his retired Portlaoise Prison officer colleagues.

Reposing at his home on Colliers Lane (R33TFV4) on Wednesday evening from 5pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral leaving from the family home and arriving at St Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12 noon.House private Thursday morning.

Ballacolla and Dublin, unexpectedly . Predeceased by his mother and father and brother John. Deeply regretted by his brothers Tom and Noel, sisters Chris Carroll and Mar, nephews Derek, Patrick and Kenneth, nieces Sinead, Louise, Sharon and Karen, aunt Joan Dunne, sister-in-law Marie, Noel’s partner Emily, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family and many friends.

Kieran O’Sullivan, Undertaker, The Showgrounds, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, 15th April 2023. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mai. Peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving wife Mary and daughters Sarah and Louise. Sadly missed by his sisters Margaret (Delaney), Kay (O’Connell), Ann (Koch), Ellen (Delaney) and Rose (Barrett), brothers-in-law Jimmy, Tom, Frank, Noel and Dan, uncle Fintan, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Rathdowney (R32 NY24) on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm with rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 19th at 12 noon in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney (https://www.parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney/) followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery. House Private. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Kieran can be made to The Irish Cancer Society. The family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of St. James’s Hospital and the Laois/Offaly Palliative Care Team for their wonderful care of Kieran.
