Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bowe, 30 Daly Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, 26th April 2023. Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters. Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her sister Nancy, her brothers Peter and Paddy, sisters Katsy, Teresa and Maggie. Sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence tomorrow, Thursday evening, from 6pm to 9pm, with rosary at 8pm. Funeral will leave the house at 10.30am Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney and burial in Rathdowney local cemetery.

Michael Hogan
Shellumsrath, Kilkenny / Ballyfin, Laois

Michael Hogan (Shellumsrath, Callan Road, Kilkenny and late of Cloonagh, Ballyfin, Co. Laois) April 25th 2023 (peacefully) at Carlow District Hospital. Beloved husband of Elizabeth and loving father of Kevin, Mary and Michael. He will be sadly missed by his wife and family, brothers Noel, Vincent and Frank, sisters Robin and Anne, daughter-in-law Rose Mary, his adored grandchildren Éabha and Michael, nephews, nieces, in-laws, extended family and friends.

A graveside Committal Service will be celebrated on Friday at 2p.m. in Foulkstown Cemetery. House private to family and close friends only. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society https://www.cancer.ie

Patrick (Paddy) Campion
Shanrath, Wolfhill, Laois

Predeceased by his parents, brothers John and Martin and sister Bridie. Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Máirín, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy, on Wednesday evening (April 26th) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal at 10.30am on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Tony (Anthony) Whelan
Baldoyle, Dublin/Clonaslee, Laois

WHELAN,Tony (Anthony) (late of Baldoyle, Dublin 13 and Clonaslee, Co. Laois) – 25th April 2023 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff at Highfield Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Christina, brothers Henry and PJ and his son-in-law Ger. Loving husband of Mary and much-loved dad of Anne, Susan, Brian and Carmel; will be very sadly missed by his wife and children, sons-in-law Damian and Níall, daughters-in-law Melissa and Beatrice, grandchildren Emer, Ciara, Daniel and Fiach, sister Catherine, nieces, nephews, all in-laws, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home on Friday afternoon, 28th April, from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Baldoyle for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his loving mother Eileen. Deeply regretted by his loving family Stephen, Mary,John,Paula, David, Gearldine and Esther, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in the Adjoining Cemetery.

Shannon Road, Mountrath, Laois

Liam Doyle, Shannon Road, Mountrath, Co. Laois, (Retired Garda). Died 23rd April 2023, (unexpectedly) at Waterford Regional Hospital, Waterford.

Predeceased by his father Tom and brother Paul, sadly missed by his hearth broken mother Elizabeth, sons Jordan and Lee, daughter Holly and their mother Grace, brother Tom, sister Mary (Leahy), Liam’s partner Gabriela, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, extended family relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Wednesday evening from 6.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Molly Hennessy (née Malone)
Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny, R95 WR84/Shanahoe, Laois

Hennessy (nee Malone) (“St. John’s”, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Shanahoe, Co. Laois) on 24th April 2023, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, Molly, predeceased by her loving husband Sean, her son John and brother Michael John, beloved mother of Sharon, Siobhán and Lynam. Molly will be sadly missed by her loving family, brother Andy and Kevin, sons-in-law Brian and Ray, grandchildren Sadie, Rosie and Sofia, sister-in-law Margaret, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home (R95 WR84) on Wednesday (26th April) from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 10.30am in St. John’s Church, Kilkenny with Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
