Gabriel Aroqbortise, Triogue Manor, Portlaoise. Died May 2nd 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving partner Jackie his children Daniel, Kai, Benjamin, Gabriella, Emmanuel and Synthia, brother, sister, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Sunday (May 14th) from 4pm with prayers at 5pm. Removal on Monday (May 15th) to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 2pm funeral prayers. It may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment afterwards to SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Philomena Carroll
Beechlawn, Portlaoise, Laois

Philomena (Phil) Carroll Beechlawn, Portlaoise, Co.Laois. Died May 10th 2023 peacefully in the loving and tender care of Bernie and the staff of Ballard Lodge Nursing Home Portlaoise. Predeceased by her parents John Denis and Mai and sister Anne (Nano). Deeply regretted by her brother Eddie, sister in law Liz (nee Gilligan), nephews Shane and Johnathan, her dear friends Vi, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:30pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise on Monday for requiem mass at 12 noon. Mass may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ . Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Patrick (Paddy) Haughney
Leixlip, Kildare/Crettyard, Laois

HAUGHNEY(Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Crettyard, Co. Laois) May 11th., 2023 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Paddy, beloved husband of Mary and dear father of Margaret, Noel, Kathleen, Martin and Áine; Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Shane, Natasha, James, Dylan, Jason, Dean, Shauna, Mark, Shannon and Kevin, great-grandchildren Ava, Tommy, Ivy and Rían, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister Elizabeth, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday (May 14th) between 6pm and 8pm. Removal on Monday morning (May 15th) to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip arriving for Funeral Mass at 12Noon followed by burial in the Confey Cemetery.

James (Jim) Kilcare, 6 Ossory Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and late of Laois County Council. May 12th 2023. Peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Ryan), devoted father to John, Norma, Olwyn and the late James Jnr. Beloved grandad to Sinead, Holly, Chloe and her husband Ger, Jack, Thep and Lucy and great-grandad to Frankie and Culainn. Beloved brother to Kathleen, Lil, Paddy, Anne and the late Jackie. Sadly missed by his brother-in-law Donal, sons-in-law John and Conal, daughter-in-law Martina, Nuala, Claire, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his residence 6 Ossory Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois (R32 P8P6) on Saturday, 13th May, from 5pm to 8pm with rosary at 8pm and Sunday, 14th May, from 5pm to 8pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday, 15th May, to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for funeral mass at 12 noon (www.parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney) followed by burial in the local cemetery. House Private on Monday morning. Family flowers only.

Jack Killeen, 10 Fr. 0’ Connor Cresent, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 12th May 2023, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Lizzie, sons and daughters John, Pamela, Fintan, Michael, Linda and Kevin. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his brother Peter, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath on Saturday evening from 6pm, concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday morning to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 11.30a.m., followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Formerly of Temperance Street, Abbeyleix and Ballyroan, Laois. Peacefully in her 95th. year at St. Vincent’s Community Care Nursing Unit Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by her brother Patrick and sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix on Saturday from 5.45 pm. to 7pm. with prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday in the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Owen O’NeillMarymount Church Road, Graiguecullen, on 11th May 2023, at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow. Surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Rita, parents John and Elizabeth, sister Mary, loving father to Lisa and Darren. Sadly missed by his son, daughter, grandchildren Cian and Dylan, son in law Keith, nephew Patrick, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Lacey’s Funeral Home, John St., Carlow (R93 H684), from 3.00pm until 8.00pm on Friday, 12th May, with prayers in the funeral home at 6.00pm. Removal on Saturday, 13th May, at 2.00pm to arrive at St Clare’s Church for Requiem Mass at 2.30pm. Funeral immediately afterwards to Sleaty New Cemetery, Where Owen will be laid to rest with his wife Rita.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy. Wife of the late Tim. Deeply regretted by her loving son Paddy, daughters Margaret, Betty, Mary, Katherine and Brigid, brother Michael, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Mary’s residence, Slatt, Wolfhill (R14 ED26) from 4pm on Friday afternoon (May 12th) until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday afternoon to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill for Requiem Mass at 4.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
