Laois learn their fate as draw made for Tailteann Cup quarter-finals

The draw has been made for the quarter-finals of the 2023 Tailteann Cup.

After victory away to Fermanagh on Saturday, Laois will be on the road again this weekend.

They have been drawn away to Limerick with the game due to take place on Saturday, June 16.

Limerick, who were relegated from Division 2 of the National League, were beaten by Clare in the Munster championship but topped their Tailteann Cup thanks to wins over Longford and Carlow.

Should Laois win, they will be through to the semi-finals which will take place in Croke Park.

Laois ended up here after finishing third in the group behind Cavan and Offaly.

Laois began with a nine point defeat against Cavan and then drew with Offaly despite being six points up with 67 minutes played.

Laois faced London in Parnell Park last week where a late Niall Corbet point salvaged a draw.

But their fortunes finally turned last Saturday when they went away to Fermanagh and won.

Laois pulled off a 1-11 to 1-9 victory in Enniskillen to revive their season.

The other quarter-finals will see Antrim at home to Carlow, Meath at home to Wexford and an Ulster derby between Cavan and Down.
