Old Fort Quarter Festival 2023

The Old Fort Quarter Festival kicked off in style last night, Thursday, to a full house where the main stage at the Laois Music Centre played host to both The Dooley Brothers and The Whistlin’ Donkeys.

Heritage events, live music, family fun and an artisan food market all form part of the offerings over the weekend.

The Old Fort Quarter Heritage Pub Trail also takes place on the Friday, Saturday and Sundays nights of the festival giving people a choice of multiple venues and live music acts.

The festival takes place this weekend in Portlaoise, having started yesterday June 22 and running with a full schedule of events through to Sunday evening.

Photographer, Alf Harvey was on hand last night to capture the events.
