Portlaoise College has announced the winners of its prestigious 1st Year scholarship, an esteemed award that recognises outstanding academic achievements.

The scholarship, valued at over €1,100, was awarded to Emma Nolan, from St. Colmans National School Stradbally and Eoin Cosgrove from Emo National School.

The scholarship program at Portlaoise College is designed to celebrate exceptional talent and potential among incoming first-year students.

Along with 192 other incoming 1st Year students, both Emma and Eoin partook in a scholarship entrance programme in March where they demonstrated remarkable academic prowess.

Their outstanding achievements have earned them this well-deserved recognition and support for their educational journey.

Emma Nolan, a remarkable student hailing from St. Colmans National School, Stradbally, has consistently showcased her academic brilliance, dedication, and passion for learning.

Her commitment to academic excellence and her impressive accomplishments have made her an exemplary role model for her peers.

Eoin Cosgrove, an exceptional student from Emo National School, has consistently exhibited a thirst for knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a natural talent for academic pursuits.

His outstanding achievements have showcased his potential for future success.
