Martin Reddin Ltd are currently seeking to fill two key roles at their office unit based in Kilminchy in Portlaoise.

  • Construction Estimator
  • Office Administrator

Job Title: Construction Estimator

  • Organisation: Martin Reddin Ltd
  • Contract: Permanent – Full Time
  • Location: Head Office Unit 8/9 Kilminchy Court, Kilminchy, Dublin Road, Portlaoise. Hybrid working may be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to measure from first principals, price and estimate projects across a wide range of sectors
  • Analysing drawings, project specifications, client pricing documentation
  • Involved in full tender process from beginning to completion which will include but not limited to.
  • Checking pricing documents for accuracy and managing/compiling pricing documents production
  • Reviewing the Contract for each tender
  • Compiling tender enquiries, issuing enquiries, and adjudicating subcontractor/supplier tender quotations.
  • Preparing estimate Direct and Indirect Costs
  • Identifying and evaluating risk and opportunities
  • Developing risk registers
  • Presenting estimates to senior management for review
  • Preparing tender and contract documents for submission
  • Investigate and develop value engineering options
  • To attend client presentations and providing information to clients in a professional manner
  • Liaising with relevant parties on an on-going basis

Other Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced IT skills – including excellent knowledge of MS office applications and QS / Estimating packages – Global Buildsoft / Cubit
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying and main contracting experience desirable
  • Be highly organised and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and must be able to complete tasks before deadlines
  • Proven record of own responsibility and accountability and ability to work successfully with a team
  • Good reporting, communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and alone and computer literacy are essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is essential.

Job Title: Office Administrator

  • Salary (DOE)
  • Contract: Permanent – Full Time
  • Location: Head office Unit 8/9 Kilminchy Court, Kilminchy, Dublin Road, Portlaoise

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Administrative Support to the company.
  • Assist in managing the E-Tender Submission Portal on behalf of the company, which involves preparation and compilation of pre-qualification and tender submissions
  • To assist in researching and sourcing content and images for social media channels and website

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using email and other office software (Microsoft Office, Google
