Jack Costigan
Spink, Abbeyleix, Laois

Jack died at St.Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit in Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by his brother Paddy, sister Philomena, sister in law Peggy, brother in law Noel, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St.Lazarian’s Church, Knock, Co. Laois from 5pm on Friday evening with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St.Lazarian’s Church followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Sheila Grehan (née McGuirk)
Four Roads, Mountmellick, Laois

The unexpected death has occurred of our most adored mam, Sheila Grehan (nee McGuirk), Four Roads Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her loving parents Robert and Nora McGuirk. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Seamus (Jimmy) Grehan, her loving daugherts Janet and Amy, her beloved sons James, Gary and Eoin, Her most precious grand children, Kaitlyn, Erika, Tori, Belle, Paige, Noah and Mila and her adored great grand daughter Bonnie. Deeply regretted by her son-in-law Colum and her daughter-in-law Heike, her beloved sisters and brothers, Robert, Nora, Billy, Mag, John, Betty, Peter, Eugene, Deirdre, Declan, Bernadine and Fergal. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and many friends.

Margaret England (née Kiely)
Kanturk, Cork / Ballaghmore, Laois

Late of Enfield, London and Birmingham, England.

Pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers and sisters.

Deeply regretted by her husband Joseph, sons Brian and Kieran, daughters-in-law Elme and Emma, grandchildren Josie, Liam and Conor, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and many friends.

Private removal from Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea this Saturday morning at 10.30am arriving in St. Molua’s Church, Ballaghmore (R32 RC53) for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Breda Heffernan (née McCann)
Redgate, Ballyfin, Laois

Breda Heffernan (nee Mc Cann), has sadly passed away. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Owen and sister of the late Annamai, Pat, William, Kathleen, Miley and Marie. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Mary, Catherine and Oonagh and her sons Jimmy and Gene, son-in-law Declan and daughters-in-law Marie and Kathleen and sister-in-law Daisy. All her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to members of the emergency services and all the staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and all neighbours and friends who have helped in any way especially in the last few difficult weeks.

Reposing in her home Friday from 4pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving St.Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin on Saturday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St.Fintan’s Cemetery.

Lucy Dooley (née Guinane)
Ballynolan, Stradbally, Laois, R32 VK40

Lucy formerly Killenana, Kilkishen, Co. Clare passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family and friends at her residence.
Sadly missed by her loving husband Paddy and her sons and daughters, Sinead, Denis, Lisa, Marie and John, her sons in-law, daughters in-law, grandchildren and sister Mary. Predeceased by her brothers Haulie, J.P. and Seamus. Fondly remembered by her brother in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Lucy will Repose at her residence (R32 VK40) on Thursday from 2pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm.
Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Friday morning at 11.15am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 12 noon Requiem Mass which will be live streamed on (Link to follow). Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.
House private on Friday morning please.

Phil (Philomena) Lambe (née Fitzpatrick)
Brittas, Clonaslee, Laois

Phil (Philomena) Lambe nee Fitzpatrick, Brittas, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, and Sutton, Coldfield, Birmingham, England. Died peacefully on the 22nd of July 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife to the late Michael and loving mother to Michael, John, Helen, Andrea and Rachel. Adoring grandmother to Michael, Daniel, Patrick, Christy, Katie, Ruth, Thomas, James, Maimie, Anna and Mollie and great-grandmother to Tadhg, Kaelon, Nancy, Jon-Joe, Sylvia, Rónán and Cónal.  She will be sadly missed by her loving brother Tom, sisters Margaret (Marg) and Maura, predeceased by her brother Sean, daughters-in-law Maria and Valerie, sons-in-law Brian, David and Graham, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Mass on Friday, the 11th of August, at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Phil’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois. Phil’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.
