Planning permission sought for a new residential development on the Laois Carlow border

Whitehorse Developments Ltd (trading as Capital Homes Limited) have applied to Laois County Council for planning permission for a residential development.

The project is for a site in Crossneen, just outside Graiguecullen on the Laois side of the Carlow border.

The application is for 136 dwellings, a creche, and a work hub.

Phase 1 of the project is to consist of 87 dwellings to include:

22 Type A three-bedroom, two-storey, semi-detached houses.

22 Type B – four-bedroom, two-storey, semi-detached houses.

8 Type C – four-bedroom, two-storey, semi-detached houses.

2 Type D blocks – each block containing 2 two-bedroom, two-storey townhouses, plus 2 two-bedroom, own-door-access apartments.

2 Type F – four-bedroom, two-storey, semi-detached houses.

1 Type G block – containing 4 two-bedroom, two-storey townhouses, plus 4 two-bedroom, own-door-access apartments.

12 Type H – three-bedroom, two-storey town houses.

There will also be a Creche and work Hub constructed, with 1 one-bedroom apartment, and 4 two-bedroom apartments at first floor level.

The development is to include a new site entrance from Leighlin Road, all landscaping and site enclosures, plus all associated site works.
