Laois Hockey Club has hit the ground running as they prepare to introduce new fitness programme

Monday, August 14 marked the first official hockey session for the newly formed Laois Hockey Club.

There was a hugely impressive 30 plus players in attendance.

Laois Hockey Club have teamed up with Laois Hurler and Personal fitness coach, Enda Rowland to deliver a 5 week pre-season training programme

The season is set to begin in mid-September.

This fitness programme is open to all players from 16 years of age and up.

Sessions will take place every Monday, from 8 to 9pm in Fr Breen Park, Abbeyleix.

Meanwhile, the first hockey training session takes place next Tuesday, August 22, from 7pm to 9pm

Eric Comerford will be returning for another season with the club as head coach.

Laois Hockey Club currently consists of two senior ladies teams –  these teams are always looking for new or returning players to come join.
