Special educational needs classrooms at Laois primary school approved to go to tender

Two new special educational needs classrooms at a Laois primary school have been approved to go to tender.

The school in question is Our Lady’s Meadow National School in Durrow.

The news comes as the school prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Speaking on the announcement, Laois TD Sean Fleming, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs said:

“This is very welcome news for families and children with special needs that are attending and will attend the school in future.

“I want to compliment the school and its management for all their work in the school community in Durrow.

“I am pleased that this extension has been approved to go to tender immediately.

“I look forward to an early successful tender process and construction commencing as soon as possible on these two new special educational needs classrooms.”
