Congratulations to Laois Chamber Alliance member, G’s Gourmet Jams, nominated for three awards in the Preserves category.

The nominations were for their Four Summer Fruits, Strawberry, and Raspberry jams, in the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards 2023,.

Now in their 10th year, the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards have become a well-recognised badge of excellence amongst customers and the food and drink community across the island of Ireland.

Laois Chamber Alliance member, CJ Sheeran, headquartered in Mountrath, proudly supplied ComfyBed Equine Bedding again this year at the RDS Dublin Horse Show, bedding out some of the best international showjumpers coming from all over the world.

The National Ploughing Championships are taking place in Ratheniska on September 19, 20 and 21.

Laois County Council are seeking expressions of interest from interested parties who wish to exhibit in the Laois marquee, with limited places remaining.

The next ACORNS programme for Female Entrepreneurs is now open.

ACORNS 9 will run from October 2023 to April 2024 and will include six monthly round table sessions, a workshop on understanding financials, a briefing by various development agencies and an end-of-cycle celebration.

There will no charge for those selected to participate, thanks to the continuing support of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the voluntary contribution of time by the Lead Entrepreneurs.
