Huge turnout for Rosenallis Festival of the Mountain and Vintage Rally

After a five-year hiatus, the much-cherished Rosenallis Festival of the Mountain made a triumphant return this weekend.

The festival has been a staple in the community since 1962, holding a special place in the hearts of locals.

Numerous famous faces and music acts have been welcomed to the Rosenallis festival throughout its 61-year history in the picturesque Slieve Bloom Mountains.

This year’s event saw an unprecedented turnout, with hundreds of attendees making it the most well-attended festival to date since it began in 1962.

The atmosphere was electric, as records were broken in terms of both attendance numbers and the overall enthusiasm from the community and beyond.

One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the weather, with the sun gracing the festival with its presence throughout the event.

The festival featured numerous attractions, including vintage and classic vehicle exhibits, showcasing an impressive collection of tractors, cars, lorries, engines, motorcycles and auto-jumble.

There was also be arts and craft stalls brimming with local talent, music, a dog show, bread, butter, and pancake making sessions, and a mouth-watering spit-roast cooked live on the field.

Revelers enjoyed array of delicious food stalls to as well as plenty of children’s activities.

To capture the essence of the day and the festival’s vibrant energy, organisers enlisted the use of a drone to give an aerial perspective.
