Eugene Young
Bellair, Clonaslee, Laois

Eugene Young, Bellair, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, died the 16th of September 2023, peacefully, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Eugene, dearly loved husband of Brigid, loving father of James, Claire and Edel.  Adored granddad of Annie, Eoghan, Cian, Abbey, Adam, Tom, Holly and Scott.  He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sisters Nuala, Essie and Nan, brothers Bob and Jimmy.  Predeceased by his brothers Tommy and Pat and sisters Mary, Josie, Rose and Teresa. Deeply regretted by his daughter-in-law Bridget, sons-in-law Anthony and Rob, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence, on Monday (18th September) from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Eugene’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

Imleach, The Swan, Laois / Carlow

P.J. O’Neill : 16 September, 2023 Imleach, The Swan, County Laois & formerly of Newtown, Crettyard, Carlow At. St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Predeceased by his daughter Emma and sister Mary Ellen. P.J. will be sadly missed by his daughter Chloe, niece Áine, nephews Micheál, and Eugene, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his niece Áine Brennan (Newtown, Crettyard, Carlow) on Monday 18th September from 2pm concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7.30pm. Funeral cortege arriving at St. Abban’s Church, Doonane on Tuesday for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Martha Morrin (née Doheny)
Coolbanagher, Emo, Laois / Mountrath, Laois

Formerly of Derryhay, Mountrath, County Laois. Martha passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her family while in the care of the staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving husband Willie, her brother Dan and her parents John and Catherine Doheny. Cherished and beloved aunt of DJ, Robert and Emily, their partners Breda, Marie and Aidan, special grandaunt to Daniel, Mathew, Darragh, Evan, Lauren and Colin. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Mary, nieces-in-law (UK), her many cousins, especially Kathleen and Mary and her wide circle of wonderful relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home in Coolbanagher, Emo (eircode R32 R2F9) on Sunday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Monday morning at 11:20am arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Pat Doorley
Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Laois / Roscrea, Tipperary

Patrick (Pat) Doorley, Kilminchy, Portlaoise and late of Shinrone, Co. Tipperary died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on 14th September 2023. Beloved husband of Carmel. Loving father to Derina, Caragh, Edel and Pearce. Cherished grandfather (Pops) to Sophie, Cillian, Max, Ethan, Daniel, Finn and Eliza. Sadly missed by sons in law Marc and Jonathan and daughter in law Máire. Deeply regretted by his brothers Noel, Michael and Frank (Rip). Sadly missed by brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces nephews, all his former colleagues in International Screen Print, relatives, golf partners and friends.

Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Removal from funeral home on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 2 pm requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery, Portlaoise.
