Formerly of Ballyshane, Bracknagh County Offaly. Suddenly. Loving son of the late Paschal and Bernadette. Sadly missed by his loving wife Elaine, darling daughter Nadine, sister Julie, brothers Ambrose, Joseph, Paschal, Michael, Aidan, John and Dermot, uncles, aunts, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnephew, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Kreena (Kay) Bateson (nee Attwell) “Shadowlands ” Old Mooreville, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Crumlin, Co. Dublin and London, U.K., September 25th. 2023, peacefully at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise in the company of her family. Predeceased by her husband Peter and her sister Janet. Sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters Margaret and Katherine, grandson Hayden-Peter, Katherine’s partner Jason, brothers Noel and Jimmy, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, her dear friend Breda extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends both in Ireland and the U.K.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Removal on Friday morning to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem mass at 11 o’clock followed by interment in the local cemetery. Bríd O’Mahony (née Monaghan)
Mountmellick, Laois / Monivea, Galway

Bríd O’Mahony (nee Monaghan) formerly of Tysaxon, Monivea, County Galway. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beautiful husband Gerard and her adored sisters Margaret, Kitty and Celia and her brother Paddy. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken children Sinéad, Geraldine, Dónal, Finola, Ciarán and Donnchadh and her brother Peadar and sister Mary. Bee was so loved and cherished by her grandchildren James, Lucy, Emma, Tadhg, Mathúin, Dáithí, Culann, Bláthnaid, Oisín, Réiltín, Senan, Thady, Iarla, Sadhbh, Aoileann, Cora & Éanna. Bríd will be sadly missed by her extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick (R32 PC95), Co. Laois on Tuesday, 26th of September, from 5pm to 8pm followed by Rosary. Removal from her home in Ashgrove to St Joseph’s Church(R32 RK58) Mountmellick on Wednesday, 26th September, arriving for 11am Mass followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick. Family flowers only and donation, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society.

Bernadette (Bernie) Behan (née Langford)
Belgrove, Ballybrittas, Laois

Peacefully after a short illness bravely borne with great courage at the Regional Hospital Tullamore, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary and brother Francis. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Jim, daughter Carol, son Martin, sons-in-law James and Jack, grandchildren Darragh, Cameron and Luke, brothers Michael, John, Brian and Patrick, sisters Margaret and Colette, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 W9D5) on Tuesday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10:10am arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Emo.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Loving son of the late Pat and Maura Lawlor. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Liz and Mai, brothers-in-law Jerome and Ken, nephews Diarmuid and Joe, nieces Lucy and Elise, uncle Eugene, aunts Margaret, Rose, Breda and Anne, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence (Eircode R32 YW77) on Wednesday afternoon from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11:15am arriving St John’s Church, Killenard for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Maureen Reynolds (née Dooley)
Beladd Upper, Portlaoise, Laois

Formerly of Barking, Essex. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity at Tullamore Hospital. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Robert (Bob) and adored mother of Sophia and Shane. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter and son, her sister Ann, brother John, in-laws, family circle, friends, neighbours and work colleagues in Mulhall’s Supervalu.

House private until: Tuesday 26th September 2023

Reposing at St Peter’s (Church of Ireland) Church from 6:30 pm, with Service of Evening Prayer at 8 pm.

Wednesday 27th September 2023, reposing at home from 4 pm with Rosary at 7 pm.

Thursday 28th September 2023, Requiem Mass at St Peter and St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church at 2pm, Portlaoise, followed by burial at The Holy Trinity Church, The Rock of Dunamase.

Family flowers only, donations to the Friends of Tullamore Hospital, Tullamore.
