Brendan Hughes 40 Silverwood, Mountmellick Co. Laois and formerly Swords, Co. Dublin, died peacefully at home, October 1st 2023, in the company of his loving wife and family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Christine, sons Darryl and Jason and family members.

Patrick Street, Portarlington, Offaly / Portarlington, Laois

Formerly of Limetree, Portarlington County Laois. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by her husband Jackie, son John, sisters Liz, Nora and Phil, brothers Dan, Tony, Michael, P.J.,Gerard, Martin and John. Lovely remembered by her loving son Patrick, daughters Majella and Teresa, sisters Mary, Patricia, Ann and Bernadette, grandchildren Fiona, Laura, David, Owen, Ciaran and Odhran, Naomi and Alan, great-grandchildren Fiadh and Aoibhin, daughter – in-law Patricia, son-in-law Gareth Jenkins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 DP8E) on Saturday evening from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday  at 12 noon arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12:15pm. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

House Private on Sunday morning, please. Chrissie’s Requiem Mass will be streamed live on.

Sr Maureen Delaney
Edenmore, Dublin / Pike of Rushall, Laois

Delaney, Sr Maureen, SMG (formerly of Knock Brack, Pike of Rushall, Co. Laois), September 28th 2023, peacefully in the loving care of her SMG Sisters, staff and niece, at St Gabriel’s Nursing Home, Edenmore, Dublin 5. Sadly missed by her SMG Sisters, niece Geraldine, grandnephew William, grandnieces Grainne and Niamh, staff and her very many friends. Predeceased by her sister, Sr Gregory, SMG and her brothers, John Joe, Matthew, Liam and Dan.

Sr Maureen’s remains will arrive in St Gabriel’s Nursing Home at  5.30pm on Sunday, 1st October, for Evening Prayer at 6pm.  Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Monday 2nd at St Monica’s Church, Edenmore, Dublin 5, D05 A397, followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.

Anna Teresa Lawson (née Byrne)
The Borness, Mountmellick, Laois

Anna Teresa Lawson (nee Byrne), known as Terry, died at home in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, on 22/9/2023, surrounded by her family.

She was from The Borness, Mountmellick, Co. Laois.

Beloved mother of Caroline, Shaun and Fiona; grandmother of Bryony, Lydia, Scarlett, Tessa, Ben, Alice, Tom and Caitlin and great-grandmother of Niamh​​​​.

She is survived by her siblings, Chrissy and Danny.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Saviour’s Catholic Church in Abbots Langley, on Wednesday, November 1st. 2023, followed by a celebration of her life.
