Rugby World Cup Podcast – Episode 5: Ireland v Scotland preview, an expanded World Cup, and local rugby report

We are just days away from the big Pool B decider between Ireland and Scotland.

The sides will meet at 8pm (Irish time) on Saturday evening in Paris.

Mark Comerford is joined by Steven Miller and Alan Hartnett to preview that game, and dissect the permutations of ifs, buts and maybes.

After a turgid week of fixtures in Round 4, we look at the possibility of an expanded World Cup, with the 2027 tournament expected to rise from 20 teams to 24.

We also take a look back on another successful weekend for the Laois teams, and what lies ahead as Portlaoise prepare to host Portarlington next weekend.
