Joe Drennan, Knocknagad, Mountrath, Co.Laois (eircode R32XE29), following a horrific accident on Friday 13th October 2023 at Castletroy, Co. Limerick. Joe beloved son of Tim and Marguerite, much loved brother to his adoring sisters Sarah, Ava and Marie, brother to Richard, John and Kieran, uncle to Ben and Evie. Joe will be sadly missed by his nannie Vera Bennett, and all his wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins, and Joe’s very wide circle of friends.

May Joe Rest in Peace.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St James’ Hospital, Dublin. Loving husband of the late Evelyn and dear brother of the late Rose. Sadly missed by his loving wife Sadie, daughters Olga, Florrie, Lesley and Lorraine, stepdaughters Lily, Susan, Frances and Deborah, grandchildren Evan, Philip, James, Gary, Claudia, Kelly and Taylor, step-grandchildren, sister-in-law Violet, special friend Erwin, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 N2C7) on Monday and Tuesday evening from 3pm until 9pm. Removal on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm arriving Lea Church, Rathmiles, Portarlington (eircode R32 YD28) for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Irish Heart Foundation or Lea Church. Donation box at residence and in the church.

Ena (Charlotte) Wallace née Stephenson, Clonbrook House, Crettyard, Co. Laois and formely of Knockpatrick, Castledermot, Co. Kildare – 14th October 2023 peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family; predeceased by her loving son George. Sadly missed by her loving husband William, son Richard, daughter-in-law Vivienne, sisters Iris (Condell) and Gretta (Rothwell), brother George (Stephenson), brother-in-law Des, sisters-in-law Ruth, Geraldine and Ann, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence (Eircode R93 W9V6) from 12 noon on Monday. Funeral arriving to Colliery Church, Castlecomer on Tuesday for 2 o’c Funeral Service after which she will be laid to rest in the adjoining Churchyard.

House private on Tuesday please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society. Donation box in Church.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and staff at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, The Comfort Homecare Team, public health nurses and the Palliative Care Team for the attention and care shown to Ena during her illness.

Sheila Gee (née Cuddy), Woodbrook, Mountrath, Co.Laois. Died 14th October 2023, peacefully, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her son John. Beloved mother to Declan, Evelyn, Thelma, Lorraine and Orla, grandchildren, Sarah, Dylan, Ciava, Kaela, Ben, Adam, Leighaina, Jake, Bronwyn, Ella, Tara, Neasa, Luke, Emmett and Emily, Sadly missed by her son, daughters, grandchildren, brothers Sean and Stephen, sisters Mary, Esther, and Geraldine, sisters-in-law Nora and Theresa, brothers-in-law Paul and Pat, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, on Sunday evening from 6pm, concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Mary Mulhall (née Dalton)

Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the Bennett Ward, St. James’s Hospital Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Nan, and her mother Teresa. Sincerely missed by her devoted husband Tony, her sons Ross and Greg and her daughter-in-law Catherine. Deeply regretted by her brothers and sisters Peadar, Aidan, Patricia, Michael, Gerard, Fionnuala and Kevin, brothers and sisters in law,nieces and nephews, relatives, friends in Laois and Cobh, and her neighbours.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 5pm. with prayers at 7pm. Removal to St. Patricks Church Ballyroan for 12 noon Requiem Mass on Monday. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks Cemetery.

Evelyn (Evie) Clarke Lupton (nee Walsh), Georlyn, Ballaghmore, Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois and formerly Ballaghmore Castle, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 12th. 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her first husband George Clarke, her second husband John Lupton, her sister Renee and brother Ken.
Sadly missed by her children Esther (Smyth),George, Olwyn (Dunn), Karl and Kora (Kilpatrick), her daughter-in-law Lorraine, sons-in-law James, Jeff and Jimmy, her grandchildren Raymond, Garry, Lisa, Bryan and Daisy Mae, her great grandchildren Johnathon, Anthony and Oisín, her brother Reggie, her sisters-in-law Marie and Lil, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at OSullivan’s Funeral Home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Sunday evening October 15th. from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral service at St. Cronan’s Church of Ireland Church, Church Street, Roscrea Co. Tipperary (Eircode E53 FT54) on Monday October 16th. at 2 pm followed by Interment in the adjoining Churchyard.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral home on Sunday evening from 6.30 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise for 12 noon requiem mass on Monday. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery Portlaoise.

Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (née Hayden), much loved father of Frankie, Mary, Geraldine, Noeleen and the late Johnny and Paddy, cherished brother of Christina Walker, Delores Murray, Geraldine O’Dea and the late Matt, Pat, John, Sheila, Essie, Bridie, Mabel, Lizzie, Kitty, Betty and Philly and treasured grandfather of Jessica, Tara, Sarah, Niamh, Hayley, Billy, Meghan, Emily, Kyle, Leah, Elizabeth, Joey, Tommy and the late Baby Johnny.
