Colette Callinan (née Foley) of Monread Heights, Naas, Co. Kildare, formerly of Pacelli Avenue, Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed away peacefully in St James Hospital, Dublin, on Saturday 21st October.

Beloved wife of Frank, devoted Mother of Tara and Sarah, proud Grandmother to Éabha and Frankie.

Words cannot describe how much she will be missed. Funeral details to follow.

Ita Feely (née Deegan)
Terenure, Dublin/Abbeyleix, Laois

FEELY (née Deegan), Ita, 22nd October 2023, Terenure, Dublin, formerly of Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.  Peacefully, in the care of the wonderful staff of Anna Gaynor House, Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, Harold’s Cross.

Beloved wife of the late Frank, beloved mother of the late Emer.  Ita will be forever loved and dearly missed by her daughters Orla and Niamh, son Ronan, brother Aidan, sons-in-law Philip, Tony and John, daughter-in-law Niamh, her adored grandchildren Clodagh, Ronan, Matthew, Stephen, Shauna, Donal, Conor, Aidan, Seán and Ciara, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue, D6WAC8, this Wednesday evening from 5pm – 7pm.  Removal to St. Pius X Church, Templeogue, on Thursday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am followed by Cremation Service at 12.15 pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.

Cashel, Ballyroan, Laois, R32YOPR

The death has occurred of Jack Lyons, Cashel, Ballyroan, Co. Laois (R32YOPR) died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the devoted care of the doctors & staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.

Pre-deceased by his parents Dick & Kathleen, sisters Nan & Nellie. Deeply regretted by his wife Eileen, son Richard, daughter Jacqueline and their spouses, granddaughter Hayley, husband Craig and great-grandchildren Tyler, Freddie and Daisy, sisters Kathleen, Angela (Tynan), Collette and Geraldine (Robbins), brothers Richie, Dan and Gabriel, sister in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday, 24th October, from 3pm to 8pm with rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan. Funeral immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Denis Fennell
Park, Stradbally, Laois

Denis (Dinny) Fennell, Park, Stradbally, Laois. Passed away peacefully at Naas General Hospital on the 21st of October 2023. Predeceased by his parents, James and Bridget Fennell, bothers Jimmy and Mick, sisters Mary and Kathleen. Very deeply regretted by his nephew John, nieces Breda, Debbie and Tracey, his cousin Peter and Peter’s wife Patricia Moran, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, on Tuesday (24th October) from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm on Wednesday (25th October). Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, on Thursday (26th October) and afterwards Denis will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.

Donal Kirwan, Clonard, Mountrath, Co. Laois, died 22nd October 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Tolerton, Ballickmoyler, Carlow/Laois/Leixlip, Kildare

Elaine Buggy (née Dunne) of Tolerton, Ballickmoyler, Carlow, Co. Laois and formerly of Riverdale, Leixlip, Co Kildare, passed away peacefully, on October 22nd, 2023 at St Brigid’s Hospice, Curragh, Co. Kildare.

Beloved wife of Raymond, adored mother of Darragh, Cian and Eoghan, much loved daughter of John and Jean, cherished sister of Niall and treasured daughter-in-law of Mary and the late Richard.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, parents, brother, brothers-in-law John, Paddy, Gerry and Eugene, sisters-in-law Dorota, Caroline, Chris, Deirdre and Geraldine, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, (Eircode R93 F6Y9) from 2.30p.m on Wednesday, concluding with Prayers at 7p.m. that evening. Removal on Thursday at 11.30a.m to The Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Denis Dunne
Ballyleague, Roscommon/Laois

Denis Dunne, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Killenard, Co Laois. October 21st, 2023; (Peacefully), surrounded by his loving family, in the devoted care of the staff at Innis Ree Lodge, Ballyleague. Denis will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Noreen, his children Brendan, Siobhán, Gráinne, Gary, Niamh and Fiona, his 16 adored grandchildren, sons-in-law Mark, Michael, William and Ze, daughters-in-law Marian and Róisín, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home in Ballyleague (N39 YE83) on Tuesday evening (October 24th) from 5pm – 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday (October 25th) in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague (N39 HV52) at 11am. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.

Formerly of 16 Bolbrook Park, Tallaght.

Predeceased by her husband Samuel (Sam). Much loved mother of Tom, Donna, Maria, Karen, Samantha, Kathleen and June. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons in law, daughters in law, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home in Summerhill Lane, Portlaoise on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm, with rosary recital at 4pm. Requiem mass on Monday in St. Mary’s Priory, Tallaght, Co. Dublin at 11am. And thereafter to Newland’s Cross Crematorium for 1pm.

Maisie (Mary) Larkin (née Lalor)
Stillorgan, Dublin/Mountmellick, Laois

Larkin (née Lalor), Maisie (Mary), Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff at The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock.

Beloved wife of the late Colum, much loved mother of Gerard, Genevieve and Aidan. Proud granny of Jane, Aoife, Kenn, Davin, Barry, James, Aidan, Georgia and Freddie. She will be forever loved and hugely missed by her daughter, sons, daughters-in-law Darina and Margo, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brother Eamonn and sisters Rita and Genevieve, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Blackrock, A94 X308 on Saturday afternoon 21st October from 2pm to 4pm. Maisie’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning 23rd October at 10am at the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery.
