There were great scenes in Raheen and Shanahoe this morning as the victorious Colt-Shanahoe team brought the IHC cup home.
Schools are always a great source of entertainment and it was no different in Tobar an Léinn and Scoil Fionntáin Naofa.
The morning actually began with a trip to Kuddy’s Kidz – the playschool in the centre of Raheen.
There are 40 children between the ages of two-and-a-half and five – and they were very excited.
Then we headed across to Raheen’s national school, Tobar an Léinn, where there are 160 kids.
There are also two ASD Units and the Colt-Shanahoe colours were vibrantly on display.
After that, it was on to Scoil Fionntáin Naofa in Shanahoe where there are 63 pupils.
There were 15 members of the Colt-Shanahoe panel present this morning and all of them gave their time to their young supporters.
They signed autographs, signed jerseys and posed for countless pictures – they are a credit to their club.
