Silver for Dick in team event at British and Irish Masters Cross Country Championships

Dick Mullins who finished 8 overall in the M75 category and earned a silver team medal

St Abban’s athlete Dick Mullins enjoyed an excellent run at the British & Irish Masters Cross Country Championships in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.

In a competitive 6km race, Dick placed 8th in his age category (M75).

Dick was 2nd Irish man home, in doing so he helped the Irish team to a 2nd place finish in the team competition.

This is just another accolade for Mullins who continues to excel.

Last week was a relatively quiet one for Athletics in Laois but that will quickly change.

The National Juvenile and Senior Cross Country Championships are scheduled to take place this coming Sunday.

Gowran in Kilkenny is the venue and a host of Laois athletes are set to take part.
