The second episode of the LaoisToday QuizCast, devised by our Quiz Master Mark Comerford and brought to you in association with the Square Bar Portlaoise, sees LaoisToday’s Alan Hartnett take on Pauric Ramsbottom from Timahoe, a young man who is also a valued part of our sports reporting team.
Despite his tender age, Pauric is a bit of a whizz at the quiz and he’s seeking to strike a blow for the Round Tower village of Timahoe by getting one over on his neighbour from Stradbally.
After Steven scraped by Eoin Scully from Camross in the first contest broadcast this week, this is the second of eight Round 1 fixtures, all of which will be published in the coming days.
There are 16 contestants in all, in what is a straight knockout competition.
The Round of 16 and quarter-final pairings are all being recorded on Zoom with the semi-finals and final to be hosted in the Square Bar in Portlaoise on Friday, December 8.
