Richard Kelly, Ballymeelish House, Ballybrophy, Co. laois. November 18th. 2023. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his infant daughter Elizabeth Mary (Elma) and his brother Aidan, Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Gretta, sons Alan and Adrian, daughters Catherine (Kate Tyndall) and Olive (Daly), daughters in law Thérése and Michelle, sons in law Darren and Noel, grandchildren Eve, Callum, Sophie, Lucy, Daniel, Izzy, Oscar, Ellie, Amélie, Jessica and Sadie, brother John, sister Mary (King), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ballymeelish (Eircode R32 VW89) this Monday evening (Nov. 20th.) from 4 o’c , pausing for prayers at 8 o’c.

Removal on Tuesday morning (Nov. 21st.) to the Church of the Assumption Killasmeestia (eircode R32 XK00) for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House Private on Tuesday morning please.

Formerly of Marian Place, Portlaoise County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Mick and Alice, brother Tony and sister Martina.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Deirdre, son Mark, brothers Michael, Brian and John, sisters Alison, Elaine, Marie, Ann and Geraldine, uncle Joe, Philip, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Sunday evening (19th November) from 4pm with Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral arriving St John’s Church Killenard, Portarlington (eircode R32 VW77) on Tuesday (21st November) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

William (Billy) Fennell
Main Street, Stradbally, Laois

The death has occurred of William (Billy) Fennell, Main Street, Stradbally, Co Laois. Passed away on the 17th of November 2023 at University Hospital, Galway.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret. Sadly missed by his daughter Tracy, son Brian, son-in-law Eugene, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Lorraine, Ruaidhri, Cathal, Fiachra, Líadan, Deirbhile, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Billy will repose at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, from 6pm until 8pm on (Sunday 19th November), with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Monday in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally, at 11am. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be streamed live on the A. Comerford Lych Funeral Directors Website; (link to follow).

The passing has occurred of Dan Rafter. Beloved husband of Annette, and much loved father of Daniel and Mary.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, son in law Brian, daughter in law Kathy, brother Chris, sisters Mary Brennan, Nelly Brennan and Anne Dunne, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

House strictly private, please. Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Sunday, 19th November, from 5.30pm-7pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise.

Requiem Mass at 12pm in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, on Monday, 20th November, with interment afterwards in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.​​​​​​​
