But they’re rivals on this occasion – doing battle for a place in the quarter-finals of the 2023 LaoisToday QuizCast.
In a tense encounter, it’s neck and neck throughout before it’s finally settled in the last round.
In all 16 contestants began a straight knockout competition in a general sports quiz devised by our Quiz Master Mark Comerford.
The Round of 16 and quarter-final pairings are all being recorded on Zoom with the semi-finals and final to be hosted in the Square Bar in Portlaoise on Friday, December 8.
