The second quarter-final in the LaoisToday QuizCast sees Courtwood’s Brian Hogan take on Timahoe’s Pauric Ramsbottom.
Brian made short work of Darren Bracken in the first round, and has his sights set on a spot in our live finale.
Pauric put Alan Hartnett to the sword with ease in Round 1 but faces a much tougher opponent in the quarters.
The winner will be the first to book their place in the Square Bar on Friday, December 8, where the semi-finals and final will be held live.
There are two slight changes to the format from the Last 16:
Our ‘Hon Laois’ Round has been replaced by the ‘Home or Away’ Round; contestants can choose a home question for one point, or an away question for two points.
In Round 4, contestants will now earn TWO points for the correct answer; if nobody’s get’s it exactly right, the closest to the correct answer gets ONE point.
