In Pictures: TY students ready to bring ‘Grease’ to Dunamase College

Dunamase College’s Transition Year students are set to transport audiences back to the golden era of the 1950s with their upcoming production of the iconic musical Grease.

With weeks of tireless preparation and boundless enthusiasm, these young performers are ready to deliver a show-stopping experience full of nostalgia, catchy songs and electrifying dance moves.

“We are so lucky to have so many talented students in our Transition Year group,” teachers said.

“This will be the first time for many of our students to perform on such a big stage and they are relishing the challenge.

“The students have shown great dedication and commitment over the last few months both inside and outside of the school. We are looking forward to seeing them all showcase their talents live on stage.

“There has been a fantastic buzz amongst the team and around the school with the hallways filled with all the classic Grease songs so many of us have grown to love over the years.”

  • Abigail Lewis as Marty
  • Vicky Holohan as Frenchie
  • Moya Keating as Jan.

Families, friends, and local supporters are eagerly counting down the days until opening night.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see just how amazing our students are,” teachers said.

“We are so lucky to have a supportive community here – our students, staff, families, friends and local community – all have an important role to play in the production of our musical.

“The Dunamase College TY students invite everyone to join them on this unforgettable journey.

The musical will be held in The Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise on December 13 and 14 with a Matinee show on both days for primary school students.
