In Pictures: All smiles as Killeshin GAA celebrate 2023 season with awards night

It was standing room only in the Seven Oaks in Carlow on December 9 as Killeshin GAA gathered for their annual awards night.

It was a successful year for the club with three championships and a shield won by their players.

The Junior ‘B’ footballers defeated Rathdowney to be crowned champions back in September.

While the minor ladies defeated Graiguecullen in the same month to claim ‘B’ glory.

The U-13 boys were also crowned championship winners after they defeated Camross in the ‘B’ final.

While their minor footballers got the better of Portlaoise to take the ‘A’ Shield title also this year.

Chairman Laurence Phelan presented Jack Brennan with the award for Minor Player of the Year while Lee Dunne was named  Junior Player of the Year.

Killeshin seniors reached the quarter finals of the championship this year where they were beaten by Graiguecullen.

Following their performances this year, Young Player of the Year went to Brendan McDonald and Senior Player of the Year was Laois keeper Killian Roche.

A presentation was also made to Beko Club Champion Tommy Scully and a jersey presentation was made to club sponsor Eddie Brennan.

While an award for a lifetimes service to Killeshin GAA went to Micheal Mousy Brennan.
