The Great Heath Run – 10km and 5km timed run on Sunday, January 21

The Great Heath Run has become an established part of the local sporting calendar over the past decade or more – and it takes place again this year on Sunday, January 21.

Starting from The Heath GAA clubhouse at 11am, there is both a 10km and 5km run.

This offers both a chip-timed run over both distances as well as catering for a family run.

So whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first timer, it is a great event run on the roads around The Heath.

The Heath GAA club are also doing their bit for the environment as instead of a medal, they are giving each online entrant a potted heather instead of a medal. This is part of their commitment to promote the All Ireland Pollinator Plan.

There is a €5 discount for anyone who registers online at www.popupraces.ie.

This year’s event is sponsored by Phonewatch.
