In Pictures: Huge attendance as first Laois IFA Dinner Dance in more than a decade proves a big success

Laois IFA Dinner Dance Main 2024

There was a massive crowd in Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on Saturday evening as Laois IFA held a Dinner Dance.

This was the first Laois IFA event of its kind in more than a decade and it was all to honour a special guest – Francie Gorman.

Francie was elected as the Irish Farmers Association President late last year and officially took office earlier this month.

Laois IFA chairman John Fitzpatrick was one of the many speakers who paid tribute to Gorman on the night.

IFA CEO Damian McDonald, from Stradbally, also spoke on the night as did several past presidents.

Francie was also presented with a picture of his home place of Ballinakill.

After the speeches and presentations, the dance floor was cleared and music by Outa Diesel entertained all.

Photographer Paul Dargan was present on the night and captured some great images.
