With spring in the air, it means that planning for St Patrick’s Day is well and truly underway in the various communities that celebrate our national holiday.

In Clonaslee they are pushing the boat out once again.

Not only are they promising a hugely enjoyable day out for those who take part or attend – they are also offering a range of very attractive prizes.

They are hosting a parade for the third year running (having not had one previously) this St Patrick’s Day, starting at 12noon sharp from the Clonaslee Community Centre.

They are offering a €600 cash prize and trophy for the best overall float – and €150 cash prize and trophy for the following float categories.

  • Best Vintage
  • Best dressed dog
  • Best club/school
  • Most original float
  • Most entertaining float

If anyone has any queries about entering a float please contact Brendan on 087 9675054 or Ronan on 085 1482296.
