Laois minor hurlers name 32-player panel ahead of upcoming Leinster championship

Hurling General

Laois minor hurling manager Glen McEvoy has named a 32-player panel for the upcoming Leinster championship.

The Clonaslee native has picked players from 12 different clubs across the county.

The Harps, Clough-Ballacolla and Castletown all have the highest representation with six each.

Portlaoise come next with three and then Rathdowney-Errill, Camross and Ballyfin have two each.

The remainder of the panel is made up with players from Abbeyleix, Trumera, Borris-Kilcotton, Park-Ratheniska-Timahoe and Mountrath.

Laois start their campaign in Tier 2 of Leinster and all of their matches will be on Saturdays.

They begin away to Kildare on March 23 and then host Carlow a week later.

They then travel to one of the Ulster teams, still to be confirmed, on April 6 before hosting Kerry on April 20.

If Laois get out of the group, they will take on one of the Tier 1 teams in a preliminary quarter final on May 4.
