‘The best business in town’ is up for sale and attracting ‘heaps of interest’

A Portlaoise business that has been described “the best business in town” is attracting “heaps of interest” LaoisToday has learned.

It emerged in January that Roll n Bowl in Clonminam Business Park, Portlaoise was coming on to the market.

CBPM Real Estate, the auctioneer managing the sale, described it as a “rare and once-off business opportunity to own and run a profitable well-established business.”

The auctioneer has confirmed there is an asking price of €2 million on the sale.

Speaking with LaoisToday, Roll n Bowl owner, Brendan Egan explained that after two decades of operating the family entertainment venue, it was time to call it a day.

“It’s been 20 years, and I’ve had enough,” Mr Egan said.

“I turned 60 this year and it’s an awful lot of work to run this place; it’s crazy.

“It’s a seven-days-a-week job for me, and I’ve just had enough.”

CBPM Real Estate said Roll n Bowl “has been the most popular party venue in the Midlands since it opened its doors over 20 years ago.

“With no other competitors based in Portlaoise Town, this is one of the bustiest businesses in the town.
