Mai Mulvihill (née Whelan), Church Street, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Tullamore, Co. Offaly March 14th. 2024, peacefully in her 93rd. year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Martin and brothers Michael, Jim and Joe. Sadly missed by her loving sons Pat and Brian, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie and Màire, grandchildren Ronan, Susan, Dara, Kevin, Róisín and Brian, her carer for many years Breda, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at O’Sullinan’s funeral home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Sunday evening March 17th. from 6 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7.30. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem mass at 11. o’clock. Interment will take place at Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore at 1.15pm approximately.

Frances Dowling (née Delaney)

Frances Dowling (nee Delaney) of 8 Ballon Hill, Ballon, Carlow and formerly of Timahoe, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, on Thursday, March 14th 2024.

Beloved wife of John, adored mother of JJ, Carmel and Matty and cherished grandmother of Craig, Amy, Leah, Ella, Aaron, James, kitty, Liam and John.

Pre-deceased by her parents Ted and Josie and brother Paddy.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-granddaughter Evie, son-ln-law Mick, daughters-in-law Caitriona and Vanessa, granddaughter-in-law Aoife, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, her wide circle of wonderful friends and her faithful companion Dusty.

Frances will repose at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow, (Eircode R93 C8630) on Saturday, March 16th, from 2pm, concluding with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Frances’ will repose privately at home on Sunday (St Patrick’s Day) and her Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 18th, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Rathoe, Co. Carlow and will be followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Cathal Creedon

Cathal Creedon of Season Park, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow, formerly Abbeyleix, Co. Laois. March 13th 2024 peacefully at his home. Beloved son of the late Ena (née Corcoran) and Peter Creedon. Remembered with love by his family, siblings Tadhg, Mary Lyons, Sheelagh Garrahy, Peadar and Frank, his close friend Brid, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and circle of friends.

Funeral service in Thanksgiving for the life of Cathal on Friday, March 15th 2024 at 11.30am in Greystones Presbyterian Church, Trafalgar Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow.

Terry Donoghue, Chapel Lane, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Died 12th March 2024.

Predeceased by his sons TJ and Jamie, his parents Michael and Mary.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Margaret, sons Jason, Michael, Philip and Wayne, his only daughter Nicole, daughters in law Stephanie and Amanda, his grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Doyle’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 RX08) on Friday 15th from 5pm to 8pm.

Arriving into St Cronan’s Church, Roscrea on Saturday 16th for funeral mass at 12 noon.

Clonskeagh, Dublin/Abbeyleix, Laois

CRUITE, (née Carroll) Mary Josephine (Jo), Clonskeagh, Dublin and formerly of Abbeyleix, Co.Laois. 12th March, 2024, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at The Holy Family Residence, Roebuck Road, surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her loving husband John. Devoted mother of Michael, Sean, Thérèse, Paul, Eleanor and Alan. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Kate, Emma, Adam, Ben, Claire, David, Matthew, Michael and Sophia, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, niece, nephew, extended family and friends.

Reposing at The Holy Family Residence, Roebuck Road, on Thursday (14th March) from 3:30pm–5:30pm for family and close friends.

Removal to the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion on Friday morning (15th March) arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am (which can be viewed live at the following link – https://www.mountmerrionparish.ie/webcam/), followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.
