Treacy (Christian Brothers) Cowper Care, St. Patrick’s Centre, Baldoyle – 18th March 2024. Br. Kevin Leonard, formerly of Chicago, Ballinrobe and Zambia.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Cecilia, sister Madeleine, brothers Sean and Br. Paddy, and niece Denise. Deeply regretted by his sister Detta Reynolds, nieces Anne, Lorraine and Helen, nephew David, nieces and nephews in the United States, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, fellow residents, and Brothers in Religion.

Reposing in Kirwans Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Friday (22nd March) from 2.00pm – 5.00pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday (23rd March) in Ss. Peter and Paul Parish Church, Main St, Baldoyle at 11.00am. Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath, Co. Laois arriving for approx 2.00pm.


Thomas Joseph (Tom) Mulhall
Cappakeel, Emo, Laois

Thomas Joseph (Tom) Mulhall Cappakeel, Emo County Laois and former Laois County Councillor. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a life well lived. Predeceased by his parents Úna and Joe and brother-in-law Jim. Deeply loved and cared for by his loving wife Bridget.

Beloved father of Úna and Niall, father-in-law of Gavin, grandfather of Alison and Daniel. Sadly missed by his loving sister Ann, brother Eamon and his wife Breda, nieces Maria and Catherine, nephews James, Eoin and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, neighbours, colleagues and his many loyal friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Wednesday evening from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from his residence on Thursday morning at 11:10am arriving St Paul’s Church, Emo (eircode R32 RY16) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery, Emo.

Anne Camon (née Fox)
Belmont, Offaly/Portlaoise, Laois

Late of Cois na hAbhainn, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, formerly of Belmont, Offaly.

Anne died on March 18th 2024, peacefully with her family, at her brother John’s home, Cuba Avenue, Banagher.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Jim and Ellen Fox, sisters Eunice and Baby Avril and nephew Raymond.

Anne will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving daughters, Lorraine, Jackie and Meria, grandchildren, brothers, Frank, Ollie, Gaybo and John, sisters Siobhán and Michelle, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Anne will repose at her brother John’s home (Cuba Avenue, Banagher) on Wednesday evening (March 20th) from 3pm to 8pm.

Removal on Thursday morning (March 21st) to Ss. Patrick and Saran’s Church, High Street where her Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Brigid (Affectionately known as Bish) Casey (née Dunne) Cush, Clonaslee, Co. Laois.

Beloved wife of the late Tommy and loving aunt of the late Nickey and Damien.

Deeply regretted by her sons James and Thomas and daughters-in-law Michelle and Catherina, grandchildren Oisin, Thomas, Sarah, and Tommy, sisters Lizzie Lawlor (UK), Eileen Hibbitts (Mountmellick), Annamay Crossan (Mountmellick), brothers Nickey and Peter, sister-in-law Clare, brothers-in-law Alo and Billy, nieces, nephews, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Tuesday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning at 11.30am to St.Manman’s Church, Clonaslee for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in St. Manman’s Cemetery.

Derrylusk, Mountrath, Laois/Wexford

Josephine (Mary Jo) Grehan, (née Higginbotham), Derrylusk, Mountrath, Co, Laois, formerly of Lambstown, Glynn, Co.Wexford. Died 17th March 2024, peacefully, after a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Daniel, sons Danny and Gerry, grandchildren Siobhan, Michael, Michelle and Daniel, her father James, mother Catherine, brothers Paddy, Liam and Michael, and sister Dolly.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons Patrick, Michael, Martin, Noel, Jimmy and Tony, daughters Margaret, Mary, Lisa and Tina, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening (March 20th) from 5.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Thursday morning (March 21st) from her home at Derrylusk to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Unexpectedly. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Linda, sons Fergus, Cillian and Hugh, parents Christy and Marie, brothers Gary, Adrian, Paul and Leon, sister Catherine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy (R14 TX26) on Wednesday evening (March 20th) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.

Removal at 10.15am on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Barrowhouse for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


Gerry Sheedy
Green Roads Ballybrophy, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois/Roscrea, Tipperary

And also Leeds, England. Gerry passed away suddenly in Midlands Hospital, Portlaoise aged 65.

Pre-deceased by his parents John (Jack) and Mary, sisters Margaret and Elizabeth and brothers Tony, John and Mickey.

Survived by his loving wife Bernie, daughters Margaret and Siobhan, son-in-law Darren and cherished granddaughter Croíadh.Gerry will be sadly missed by his brothers Martin and Liam, sisters Mary and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his many nieces and nephews whom he had great time for, his extended relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53NY70) on Thursday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Private removal from his residence on Friday morning at 12.30 arriving in St. Canice’s Church, Borris-in-Ossory for Funeral Mass at 1.00pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Derrinsallagh Cemetery.

Anne Teresa Sharples, Rathmakelly Cross, Ballacolla. Peacefully at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted by her brothers Richard and Daniel, sister in law Sue, nieces Zoe and Emma, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Anne’s funeral Mass will take place on Thursday 21st of March at 3pm in Holy Trinity Church Durrow.(R32CK11). Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Anne can be made to the Irish Cancer Society. Donations can be made at www.cancer.ie

Unexpectedly on the 16th of March. Pre deceased by his wife Joan, grandson Jordan (Murphy), brothers Joe and Oliver and his parents Denis and Annie.

John will be sadly missed by his loving daughters Maria (Dunican) and Siobhaín (Arnold), son David, sons in law Peter and John, daughter in law Marie, his adored grandchildren Paul, Patrick, Ian, Joanne, Jonathan and Rebecca, great grandchildren Cillian, Ciarán and Tommy, brothers Peter, Michael, Tommy and Chris, sister Mary, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84) on Thursday from 5pm until Rosary at 8pm. Removal from the home of his daughter Sionhaín in Killurin on Friday morning, arriving to the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial after Mass in Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore.
