National Camogie League Division 3A Semi Final
The Laois camogie team will battle for silverware in their next game as they reached the Division 3A league final.
In a windswept Mountrath, Robert Jones and Pat Collier’s charges found the going tough in the first half.
Despite this, they led by two points at the break and would go on to win by 16.
Aimee Collier, who finished with 1-3, scored Laois’s only goal in the first half as they led 1-2 to 0-3 at half time.
Laois introduced Lucy O’Connor of The Harps at half time and she took the game by the scruff of the neck.
The powerful forward helped herself to a hat-trick while her fellow substitute, Grainne Delaney of Camross, also plundered in a goal.
With Eimear Hassett and Andrea Scully also scoring points, Laois won with a fair degree of comfort in the end.
In the other semi final, Armagh proved too strong for Roscommon as they defeated them by 0-15 to 0-9.
Laois will now face the Ulster side in the decider.
