Mary (Kathleen) Nolan
6 Emmet Street, Mountmellick, Laois

The death has occurred on 18th April 2024 of Mary (Kathleen) Nolan, 6 Emmet Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Tommy RIP, and loving mother to Elizabeth, Dolores, Anthony (Jack), Kay and Martin. Deeply missed by her brothers Jonny, Andy and sister Meta, daughters-in-law Tina and Ber, sons-in-law Eddie, Tom, and Pat, grandchildren Robert, Barry, Emma, Daniel, Edward, Sean, Bronah, Cormac, Fearghal, Joseph, Ciara, Tommy, Elena, great grandchildren, niece, nephew, relatives, friends, and neighbours.

Reposing on Friday 19th April from 5pm until 8pm at the family home 6 Emmet Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, followed by the most holy rosary. Removal from home on Saturday 20th April at 10.30am to St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick for funeral mass at 11am followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick.

Eileen (née Roche) and John Forristal
Rathmore, Stradbally, Laois

Eileen passed away peacefully, in the loving care of Droimnín Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving husband John (who passed away on April 5th, 2024) and her sister-in-law Breda. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Maura, sister-in-law, her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass took take place on Friday, March 1st, in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally, at 12 noon, followed by private cremation.

John died peacefully at Waterford General Hospital. Recently pre-deceased by his wife Eileen. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Breda, brother Pat, sister-in-law Maura, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass took place on Wednesday, April 10th, in Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, at 10am, followed by private cremation.

Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Burial of ashes for Eileen and John will take place on Saturday, 20th April, in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally, at 10.30am.

Seamus (Ed) Hynes
Kirwan Park, Mountmellick, Laois / Geashill, Offaly

Seamus better know as Ed Hynes, Kirwan Park, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly of Killelary, Geashill, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully April 16th at his home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Maura, his brother Tom and sister Patricia. Deeply regretted by his loving wife and best friend Mono, his son Johnny and daughters Gina, Natalie and Courtney, daughter-in-law Laura, sons-in-law David and Sean, his adored grandchildren and great-grandchild, his sisters Mary, Claire, Enda and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick on Friday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 6.30pm. Funeral arriving for 11 o’clock Requiem Mass on Saturday morning to St Mary’s Church, Raheen, Co. Offaly. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Mountmellick.

Mark Walsh
Esker Hills, Portlaoise, Laois / Daingean, Offaly

Mark Walsh, Hawthorn Way, Esker Hills, Portlaoise and formerly Mill Road, Daingean, Co. Offaly. On the 15th April 2024, suddenly, following a tragic accident. Loving husband to his heartbroken wife Clare (nee Slevin, Horseleap, Co. Westmeath). Devoted and adoring father to his cherished daughter Fiadh and son Daniel. Dearly loved son to Donal and Clare and sister Emma. Mother in law Ann Slevin, brothers in law David, Hugo and Tore. Nephew (Colin) & niece (Isabelle), uncles, aunts, cousins, wider family and friends. Also remembered by his co-workers and customers of Mill Road Plant Hire.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Thursday evening (18 April) from 5pm until 8pm, with rosary recital at 7.30pm. Funeral on Friday, 19 April, in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, for 12 noon Mass. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery Portlaoise.
