A group of students from Dunamase College are set to travel to India on an immersion programme in Kolkata.

The students are currently working hard to raise €2,500 for the Hope Foundation, a group which works to improve the lives of impoverished children in the Indian city.

The students are holding a fundraising event on Saturday June 1, at 11am.

The event titled ‘Walk for Hope’ is a family friendly, group walk through Emo Court which will be a wonderful event supporting a selfless initiative.

The entry fees for the event are €10 for adults, €5 per child or €25 for a family.

Teachers and students alike are immensely excited for the event that is benefiting a very good cause.

The school stated: “The immersion trip to Kolkata is a remarkable opportunity for our students to gain firsthand experience of global issues and to contribute to the well-being of others.

“The Walk for Hope is a great way for our community to get involved and support these dedicated young individuals.”
