Camross have appointed David Cuddy as their senior hurling manager for the 2025 season.
Cuddy was over the club from 2021 to 2023, and guided them to their 27th senior title in his last season.
He stepped down after their Leinster club loss to Naas later that year and was replaced by Arien Delaney, who returned for his second spell in the job having previously overseen championship successes in 2013 and 2017.
Camross were beaten in the semi-final this year by eventual champions Clough-Ballacolla.
Though Cuddy experienced no success in his first two seasons with Camross, they had a dream campaign in 2023 when they won the Laois and Leinster Division 1 leagues as well as the Laois championship final in convincing fashion when they proved way too strong for Abbeyleix.
A native of Camross, he is based in Limerick where he runs his own quantity surveying business.
Prior to being appointed Camross for his first term he previously had spells with Ahane in Limerick, Clonlara in Clare and did a year as Limerick U-17 manager.
After the Laois success in 2023, Cuddy was full of praise for the young talent in Camross.
“Two or three years ago people were asking “Are Camross gone?” he said in an interview.
“With the young lads on that team today Camross aren’t going anywhere for another 10 or 15 years at least and probably longer.”
