A leading Laois corporate accountancy practise is set for significant expansion with the announcement that it has merged with another large firm in Leinster.
Portlaoise based AVID Partners has joined with Eilis Quinlan & Co, a well-known Kildare Audit and Tax Management firm.
AVID Partners, founded by Accountant Jamie O’Hanlon over two decades ago specialises in Corporate Accountancy and Business Consultancy and Management from offices across Laois and Dublin.
He says the decision to align with Eilis Quinlan & Co “is a strategic one to further build and expand AVID Partners, build on our success to date and give us a much greater footprint across Leinster and beyond”.
“Our respective specialist expertise around Corporate Finance, Succession and Business Development, Tax Planning, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery allows us to greatly enhance the service we provide to our very valued clients, many of whom have been with us for decades, and offer much more comprehensive services to fulfil all their business advisory and accounting needs.
“These unique but complimentary professional skills and functions are all the more important in the current economic climate which is challenging and uncertain for businesses.
“Our different disciplines further deepen our expertise and allow us to offer and deliver some of the most comprehensive professional services of any practise in the country.
“For example, as an expert in Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions I lead a team that has huge expertise in advising and guiding businesses in tough trading environments.
“Eilis is a specialist in Corporate Governance and both of us are Chartered Directors and can bring professional insight to a Board, helping lead their strategic focus, and ensure Corporate Compliance and standards of Governance are strictly adhered to.
“I specialise also in Succession Planning for family businesses and SME’s. These symbiotic competencies are crucial at any time but all the more so in the current changing business environment.
“From the outset I sought to ensure that AVID Partners was a forward thinking and adaptable practise that evolved and adapted to the changing demands of the industry at any time. This merger is another strategic move in that process.
“This is a major move for us and will inevitably lead to more growth and further emphasis on developing additional comprehensive services for our clients to ensure continuing standards of excellence.”
