Ballyfin native and poet Dr Arthur Broomfield is set to unveil readings from his poetry collections as well as from his new work of short stories, Rising Dust.
The afternoon will also provide an opportunity to hear work from a host of emerging voices who attended recent workshops facilitated by Dr Broomfield.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 24 from 2pm to 4pm in Laois Arthouse, Stradbally, Co Laois R32 DT28
Admission free and light refreshments will be served on the day.
This immersive and intimate literary event will be interweaved with musical interludes from talented local harp player Aoibhe Kettle.
Dr Arthur Broomfield is a poet and Beckett scholar from Ballyfin.
He holds a PhD in English literature from Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.
Arthur’s poems have been published in Poetry Ireland Review, Cyphers and many other literary journals in Ireland, the UK, USA and India.
