A Laois GAA club are set to get on their bikes for a 24 hour fundraiser once again this weekend.
Clonad GAA will be at the Portlaoise Plaza at Junction 17 from 5pm on Friday, May 30, until 5pm on Saturday, May 31.
Those taking part will be pedalling for both club development and green initiatives.
For the last two years, this event proved a massive success with thousands raised.
PRO Colin Delaney explained what will happen and is hoping for a successful event again.
He said: “By supporting us in this Cyclothon, you’ll be supporting our club’s development initiatives, enabling us to create better more sustainable spaces to nurture our talent.
“Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant club and community.”
While injury will rule Delaney out of the cycling this year, he is anticipating a great event and has encouraged anyone who can to donate to their cause.
He said: “We’ve launched a GoFundMe and every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful impact.
“So, let’s get ready to make a positive impact on our club’s growth and the environment.
“Mark your calendars, spread the word, and let’s make this Cyclothon a roaring success.
“Together, we can pedal towards a brighter future.”
