Gardai are appealing for information following an incident of dangerous driving that took place last Sunday.
Gardai observed a vehicle driving dangerously from Rathdowney to Donaghmore.
This vehicle, a black 2008 Seat Ibiza, became involved in a traffic pursuit with Gardai before colliding with another vehicle at Grantstown.
Following this, the occupants of the car fled and three of them were arrested.
Following the incident, Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
They said: “Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to an incident of dangerous driving involving a black 2008 Seat Ibiza which occurred on Sunday, 1st June 2025, between 2.15 pm and 2.35 pm.
“The vehicle travelled at speed from Rathdowney to Donaghmore, then to Ballyquaid, and later became involved in a traffic pursuit with Gardaí from Shanboe to Ballybrophy, before returning through Donaghmore and colliding with another vehicle at Grantstown.
“Following the collision, the occupants fled on foot across fields. Three individuals were arrested shortly afterwards.
“We are appealing to anyone who:
- Witnessed the driving of this vehicle along the route
- Has dash cam or CCTV footage from any part of the journey
- Observed suspicious activity in the areas mentioned
