Laois Poc Fada
The 2025 Laois GAA and Camogie Poc Fada Competition is also set to be held in Mountrath, with the town’s golf club playing host to the event.
The 2025 Poc Fada is open to both seniors and U-16s and takes place on Monday, June 16, at 7pm.
Poc Fada is Irish for “long puck”. Competitors must puck a sliotar with a hurley (they may lift and strike or hit the ball from the hand).
An All-Ireland Poc Fada Championship is held annually testing the skills of many of the country’s top Hurling and Camogie stars.
