A young Laois singer is gearing up for a busy summer and is set to release a brand new single.

Just Alice, who is Alice Laffan from Stradbally, will launch her new single ‘good thing.’ on June 13.

Described as an Americana-Pop artist, Just Alice will release this single via Youngblood Music.

They say: “23-year-old Alice Laffan grew up immersed in Ireland’s rich musical landscape, her roots stemming from Irish traditional Irish music and the storytelling of legendary artists like Luke Kelly and Dougie MacLean.

“Seamlessly blending the influences from her youth with the modern emotional clarity of Joni Mitchell and Noah Kahan, Just Alice beautifully channels music of the people and music of home, no matter where home is for her listeners.

Debuting only last year with soaring single, “Wait”, Just Alice has already performed across a range of live settings, from Irish pub gigs to Electric Picnic, and international appearances at the Maryland Irish Festival and An Poitin Stil in the U.S – her growing fanbase drawn to her authenticity, lyrical honesty, and emotive voice.

Just Alice played the Croi main stage at Electric Picnic last year and was singled out by festival promoter Melvin Benn for her performance.

This new single is described as ‘a journey of sensation – breaking through the surface, taking a breath of fresh air, and feeling the light touch your skin, wondering why it took so long to lift your head up’.
