Portarlington to host second ‘Gig for Gaza’ to raise money for Palestine Aid

The Anvil Inn Portarlington is set to host a charity gig with all ticket proceeds to go towards Palestine Aid on Sunday next, June 22.

The gig is aimed to raise money to support Palestine as the tensions in the Middle East continues to develop.

The money raised is specifically to garner funds to put towards a mobile maternity unit in Gaza.

This unit will help provide ‘state of the art facilities’ to help pregnant women who are affected with the war.

The unit will have been converted from a Mitsubishi bus and will undergo the conversion in Egypt to transform it into a mobile clinic.

The five bands and a DJ who have all volunteered to play are: Dopamine, Half the truth, Copper Bremerton, Bailey, The Electric Unplugged and Peter MC

The tickets will have all proceedings go to Palestinian Aid and are priced at €10 for adults, €5 for U-18 and free for all U-12.

The gig is to take place between 3pm until 10pm and all U-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
