Laois GAA have confirmed that the senior hurling championship match between Camross and Portlaoise did finish as a draw.
There was confusion at full time today as referee Brian Farrell had the score at Portlaoise 2-22 Camross 5-12 – a one point win for Portlaoise.
However, Laois GAA have confirmed that, following a review this evening, the correct score is Portlaoise 2-22 Camross 5-13.
The score at half time was Camross 4-10 to Portlaoise 0-9 and at the second water break, Camross led 4-12 to 0-15 – scoring late points from Liam Delaney and Zane Keenan.
But referee Farrell instructed Laois GAA officials to remove a point from Camross on the scoreboard at that stage and that made it 4-11 to 0-15 to Camross.
John Mark Foley scored two late goals after that, including one with the final puck to, as we now no, draw the game for Portlaoise.
The result means that Portlaoise and Camross both receive a point in their group.
Clough-Ballacolla top Group A as the only team in that side to pick up a win with Portlaoise second on one point.
Ballinakill, Abbeyleix and Rosenallis are third, fourth and fifth in that group after losses.
Rathdowney-Errill top Group B on points difference ahead of The Harps and Borris-Kilcotton who also won.
Camross are fourth with a point while Castletown are bottom after their defeat.
