Betty Rowan (née Hearns)
Woodgrove, Portlaoise, Laois/Kilmore West, Dublin

Elizabeth (Betty) Rowan (nee Hearns) Woodgrove, Portlaoise and late of Kilmore West, Dublin. July 14th 2025 Peacefully surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late Frank Rowan. Dearly loved mother to Elizabeth, Barbara, Frank and Siobhan. Loving sister to Rita, Anne and Patsy, and brother Michael (Predeceased). Cherished grandmother to her 15 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Sons in law David, Paul N. , Paul B. and daughter in law Debbie. Deeply regretted by her loving family, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6.30 until 8 pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving care and kindness given by the staff of Kilminchy Nursing Home in the last few years of Elizabeth’s life.

Marian Keightley (née Dowling)
Cremorgan, Timahoe, Laois, R32 D683

Marian passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family in Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Sadly missed by her husband Tom, her sister Sheila, brothers Dick and Joe. Predeceased by her sisters Angela, Debbie and Evelyn and her brothers Seamus and Tony. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday the 17th of July from 3pm to 8pm with recital of the rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors from her residence on Friday at 1:15pm to arrive at Saint Michael’s Church, Timahoe for 2pm Requiem mass. Which may be viewed on the church webcam. Interment to follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery. House private Friday morning please.

Mary Catherine Madden (née Donnelly)
Clonmeen, Errill, Laois/Portlaw, Waterford

Mary Catherine Madden (née Donnelly), Clonmeen, Errill, Co. Laois and formerly Salrheen, Portlaw, Co. Waterford July 14th. 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully at her residence.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Peggy Donnelly.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Larry, her family Aidan, Carmel, Lorcàn, Maria, Michael and Colm, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunt Kathleen, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence Clonmeen, Errill, (Eircode R32 R9Y8) on Wednesday evening from 4 o’clock pausing for prayers at 8 o’clock. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

John Dowling
Morette, Emo, Laois

John Dowling, Morette, Emo. Died 16th February 2025 in New York where he had lived since 1985. John is pre deceased by his father Tom Dowling and mother Catherine Dowling. John will be sadly missed by son Thomas daughter Ciara brothers Ray and Mark sister Elaine extended family and friends.

Requiem mass St. Paul’s Church, Emo on Wednesday 23rd July 2025 12pm. Family has requested a private burial service.

Margaret Kenna (née Brennan)
Maidenhead, Ballickmoyler, Laois/Carlow

Peacefully, at home in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husband Seán. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Pat and Jim, daughter-in-law Jane, grandchildren Ruairí and Seán, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy (R14 TX26) on Wednesday evening (July 16th) from 4.30pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 6.30pm. Removal at 7pm on Wednesday evening to arrive at The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles for funeral prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Thursday morning (July 17th) followed by burial in Killeen Cemetery.

Ex-Irish Army, The Curragh Camp.

Formerly of St. Margaret’s, Co. Dublin and Connell Drive, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his son Mark and his parents Pat and Christy.

Sadly missed by his loving children Debbie, Nicole, Barry, Tony and their mother Eva, son in law Steve, grandchildren Kirsten, Steven, Arianna, Paige, Freya and Amelia, sister Fran and her partner Ken, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 5pm on Wednesday (16th July) with Prayers at 7pm.

Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Conleths Parish Church, Newbridge for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in St. Conleths Cemetery, Newbridge.
